By accessing or using StandUp ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a school or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these terms.

2. Description of Service

StandUp is an educational platform that provides:

• Anonymous Q&A Board: Students can ask questions without revealing their identity to classmates
• AI Tutor: AI-powered tutoring assistance based on lesson materials
• CatchUp: Lesson recaps and quizzes for students who missed class

3. User Accounts

Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

Teacher Accounts

Teachers are responsible for managing their classes, including student enrollment and content moderation.

Student Accounts

Students under 13 (K-6) require parental consent. Students must use the Service for educational purposes only.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
• Post inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content
• Attempt to access other users' accounts
• Use the AI tutor to generate inappropriate content
• Circumvent anonymity features to identify students
• Share class join codes publicly
• Use automated tools to access the Service

5. Content Ownership

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create (questions, lesson materials, recaps). By posting content, you grant us a license to display and process it to provide the Service.

Our Content

The Service, including its design, features, and code, is owned by StandUp and protected by intellectual property laws.

6. AI-Generated Content

Our AI tutor provides educational assistance but may occasionally produce inaccurate information. AI responses are meant to supplement, not replace, teacher instruction. Teachers and students should verify important information.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that the Service will meet all your educational needs. We are not responsible for student academic outcomes.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StandUp shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
